Welcome to the 2nd Wheelworxbikes.com Garadice Lake Sprint Triathlon. Leitrim’s only Open water triathlon will take place at 2pm on Sunday 1st June 2008, in the County Leitrim town of Ballinamore located on the Shannon Erne Waterway.

At half the classic Olympic distance (give or take a little), this event is not a serious test of endurance. A 750 metre Lake swim ( please note wetsuits are compulsory ), followed by a 20km ride in the saddle (please note cycle helmets are compulsory) finishing with a nice 5k run will be challenging for all in the beautiful unspoiled landscape of Leitrim.

Sprint Triathlon is an opportunity for all you speedy merchants to show us what you are made of and for the rest of us part timers to show that we too can compete and enjoy triathlon!
