Swim 750m

Don’t forget your wetsuit, as it is compulsory for the Open Water swim in the beautiful Garadice Lake one of Hundreds of lakes in Leitrim. It will be a triangular course starting and finishing at Haughtons Shore Jetty.

Will be located at Haughtons shore Car park within 10 metres your exit from the water.

As you exit transition you will walk or run with your bike to the mount/dismount line and  on to the main road the R199 which is 20metres from Transition. There you will head off to the left down the R199 into Ballinamore where you will veer right on to the R202 till you arrive at 10km mark where we turn around and take the reverse route back into Ballinamore and back to transition at Haughtons Shore car park at Garadice Lake.Please note that the the last 100m before turn around at 10km mark is a neutral zone,as is the section from the cattle grid to the dismount line at the entrance to Garadice park.

Run 5km

Once again as you leave transition you turn right on to the R199 and run down into Newtowngore Village this time veering right down to Mullyaster National School where your you will turn around and sprint back the remaining 2.5km to the finish line at Haughtons Shore.
